NEW GROUP IN FORMATION

Session approved the formation of a new group called "Faithful Friends."  The group has already started with a few of our active elders and others in the church socializing informally over the past few months.  They welcome others in the church family to join them.  You must be over 18.  The group goes to movies, theater, and other venues for fellowship.  They hope to spread the teachings of Jesus Christ through their actions.  Every event they attend will require each participant to put $1.00 into the treasury. Why not plan on joining them?

Housing Works, Inc. located in New York CityWe are collecting books (please no magazines or encyclopedias) for Housing Works, Inc., the nations' largest minority controlled AIDS organization.  They provide housing, job training, and drug treatment to homeless and formerly homeless New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.  Books will be sent to them through postage supplied by the Board of Deacons.  Bring your books to worship or to the office during the week.
