PRESBYTERIAN MEN - The first and only charter in our presbytery of Presbyterian Men, the denominational men’s group, has been granted to Hickory Street Church.  Men from neighboring Presbyterian churches are also invited.   Meetings will always begin at 7:30 for breakfast and end no later than 8:45 AM and will always take place on the last Sunday of the month in the Wm. H. Maurer Center, 435 Hickory Street.


Adult Bible Study - led by the pastor and the Director of Christian Education on Wednesday at 11 AM and 7 PM respectively.


Women of Hickory
- monthly fellowship for the women of the church meeting on the first Thursday for lunch
and a program.

Adult Fellowship
- gathers on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 5:30 PM for a catered meal and a 
program.


Seibert Schneider Class
- meets four times a year for a meal at local restaurants; conducts several 
fund-raisers throughout the year with profits going to people and places in need and to assist in the financing of youth activities and summer trips.


Casting on a Prayer Knitting Circle
- one of our newest groups; meets at 10:30 AM on the last Saturday
of the month to work on a variety of projects, have some coffee, and share some good conversation.


18 to 30
- our newest group; designed for young adults who fall in this age bracket.  Although still in its
infancy, this group is planning service projects designed to give back to the church, mission trips, retreats, and times simply for fun and fellowship.  The group meets right now at the discretion of the D.C.E.  

Aerobics - invites all interested from the congregation and community on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 7 PM.

Prayer Chain - gathers at the chancel rail following worship on the second Sunday each month to lift up names and concerns in prayer and shares additional concerns for prayer throughout the month with its members. They may also be reached at bzybnkr@verizon.net.

Coffee and Conversation - time of fellowship, coffee, and snacks following worship.

Senior High Mission Trip to Holmes, New York

The Solid Rock - youth fellowship for grades 6 through 12; very active group divides programming between Junior High and Senior High.  Retreats, work projects, summer trips to conferences or on mission trips across the country for each grade division.

Extended Programs for YouthYouth Time Out is after-school windown time for homework, snacks, arcade and board games, or just plain talk every Tuesday and Wednesday, 3 to 5 PM.  Gettin' Down with Scripture is a new program requested by the youth themselves featuring interactive Bible study on Monday, 3:30 to 5 PM.

Music Ministry - something for all ages with adult bell choir at noon on Sunday, sanctuary choir at 7 PM on Thursday, and the children's choir on Sunday at 8:45 AM

Church Mice and God Squad - after-school on Thursday, 3:30 to 5 PM, featuring active Bible study, snacks, games, special projects, and crafts are offered to children, kindergarten through grade 5 from the church and the community.

Scouting has been associated with Hickory Street almost as long as scouting has existed.  Boy Scouts meet each Thursday at 7 PM; Tiger Cubs and dens meet on the second and third Monday at 6 PM; Cub Pack Meeting is on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 PM;  Girl Scouts meet on alternating Wednesdays at 6 PM; Venture Scouts meet on the last Monday of each month.
